| Toolbar Icons
The following commands are available on your toolbar for easy access. Icons are listed sequentially from left to right.
A new page will be created.
- If no content is selected, the page will be inserted into the navigation menu below the current page. The new page will load on the screen.
- If content is highlighted, the page will not be inserted into the navigation menu. Instead the highlighted text will become a link to the new page. Click on the link to load the new page onto the screen.
Publishes the page to your live site.
Loads the Print dialogue for printing the current page.
Reverses the last action. TAGGON is capable of reversing up to the last ten actions. If you publish your page the Undo history will be reset and further Undoing will not be possible.
Reinstitutes the last action. TAGGON is capable of reinstituting up to the last ten reversed actions. If you publish your page the Redo history will be reset and further Redoing will not be possible.
Copies the selected content to the clipboard and deletes the selected content.
Copies the selected content to the clipboard and leaves the selected content in place.
Pastes the content of the clipboard into the current selection or cursor location.
- Content from TAGGON will retain formatting.
- Content from external programs will have all formatting removed.
Note: Paste Special in the Edit Menu will copy formatting from external programs.
Starts an automatic numbering of paragraphs. Every time you hit the Enter key a new numbered paragraph will be inserted into the list. To discontinue a numbering click on the Numbering icon again.
Places a character or a string of characters higher up than the rest of the text. Please note that the spacing between lines will increase.
Places a character or a string of characters lower than the rest of the text. Please note that the spacing between lines will increase.
Inserts an image or file for download into the selected content area.
Adds a link to another page for selected text or images. To use mark the text or image that you want to link from and click on the Insert Link icon. Type in the link target in the dialogue box that appears. You may choose whether you would prefer to open the target page in the existing browser window or in a new one. If you choose a new browser window, you are also given the choice of whether you would like to the new window to contain browser menus and toolbars, or simply an empty window. You may also select width and height attributes for the empty window.
Inserts a default table. Select the number of rows and colums by marking the desired table size. The default table is preset with borders and padding.
The HTML Editor allows users to insert HTML code into Taggon that has been generated in other authoring tools. You can also modify HTML code directly in the HTML Editor. The HTML Editor updates live with every keystroke.
Activates borders on tables for easing layout. The table structure will be displayed with dotted lines.
Changes a template or assigns a new one. A dialog box will open with a selection of available templates, all of which are represented with a thumbnail view. Click on the thumbnail of the template that you wish to implement.
This is the account management section where rights and restrictions are assigned to users. Only privileged users have access to this area.
Selects the style you wish to apply to your content. It is highly recommended that you use styles to control the look of your content. Styles help control the appearance of content with a consistant look and feel. Styles also greatly improve the ability to quickly change the appearance of a website without manually editing all your content.
Selects the font you wish to apply to your content. The selection is restricted to the fonts that are present in the Cascading Style Sheet (Style) documents.
Selects the size of the font.
Marks the selected text with bold formatting. (Ctrl-b)
Marks the selected text with italic formatting. (Ctrl-i)
Marks the selected text with underlined formatting. (Ctrl-u)
Aligns the selected text to the left.
Aligns the selected text to the center.
Aligns the selected text to the right.
Justifies the text to the left and right margins. This will create clean lines for your text at the expense of spacing out the words and lettering of the paragraph at uneven increments.
Moves the paragraph to the left.
Moves the paragraph to the right.
Sets the background colour of selected text. You can choose from the Internet safe color palette or you can enter the HEX value for any desired color.
