Configure Notification Options
You can configure whether emails should be sent to users automatically on certain actions of the administrator or if the administrator should confirm the sending of an email. To configure, click on the Permissions icon or choose Permissions in the Tools menu. Click on the Configure link in order to get to the email notification options. Check the actions that should launch a confirmation for the administration to send a notification email.
Customise Taggon EmailsTo customise TAGGON emails, click on the Permissions icon or choose Permissions in the Tools menu. Click on the Templates link in order to get to the email templates. Edit the choosen email and click "Submit" to save changes.
You can customise the TAGGON emails with the following text or subject variables, which are replaced in the text with specific information:
• %%username%% -- User’s username • %%name%% -- name of the user • %%sitename%% -- Your site name • %%siteadmin%% -- Name of the site administrator • %%password%% -- User’s password
Additionally, if you have configured Dynamic Data for the roles module, available dynamic data objects are listed as variables. Welcome Email (new user, automatically set to Inactive) This email is sent to users upon first registration.
Confirmation Email (user set to Not Validated)To choose this email template select Confirmation from the Template pulldown. This email is sent to users to complete the registration by clicking a link in the email.
You can use the following variables:
• %%link%%: The link on which the the user must click to complete registration • %%ipaddr%%: The IP address of the person registering • %%name%%: Name given by user during registration • %%valcode%%: Validation code to activate the user’s account
Pending Email (user set to Pending)
To choose this email template select Pending from the Template pulldown. This email is sent to newly registered users that need approval of a third party.
Reminder Email (user forgot password) This email is sent to users asking for their password.
Password Email (user given new password)
To choose this email template select Password from the Template pulldown. This email is sent to users if the administrator changes their password.
Validation Email (change of email address) This email is sent to users when they re-validate their account.
Deactivation Email (User set to Inactive) This email is sent to users when their account is deactivated.
Send Email to Group of Users Click on the Envelope icon to send a plain-text email to all users of a role.
The following variables can be used in the subject or body of the email:
• %%name%% -- Display name for the user on the site • %%sitename%% -- Site Name • %%siteadmin%% -- Name of the site administrator • Subject: Enter the subject of your email message in this field. • Message: Enter your email message in this field. • Click "Submit" to send email.
